In this Community Leader spotlight, we speak with Younus Mohammad, Group Finance Controller at Al Barari Real Estate Group. With 8 years of experience on the finance side of Owners Association Management, Mr Mohammad shares what keeps a community financially healthy, and how technology has changed the way his team works day to day.
How many years have you been in this business and what got you into it?
I’ve been looking after the finance side of Owners Association Management for the last 8 years. I enjoy helping our communities run smoothly by making sure everything is well-managed, transparent, and financially healthy.
How important is technology in running a community or property management business today?
Technology is very important. It saves time, reduces mistakes, speeds up processes, and gives everyone better visibility. It’s become a must-have, not a nice-to-have.
What happens to a business in this space that doesn’t adopt the right technology?
Without the right technology, everything takes longer. Teams spend more time on manual work, mistakes happen more often, and collecting payments becomes harder. In the long run, it’s difficult to grow and provide good service to property owners.
What does your day look like now compared to before using ADDA?
Before, our team used to spend a lot of time posting service charge invoices, following up on collections, and payment approvals manually. Now, with ADDA integrated with Mollak, we can set the system to handle these tasks automatically — syncing invoice data from Mollak directly, approvals, and payment reminders — so we can focus more on managing the community instead of paperwork.
Bring the ADDA difference to your Community as well!
